Occupational Therapist responsible for evaluating, planning, treating, and implementing patient care in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct therapy evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions.
- Educate patients and caregivers, coordinate discharge planning, and manage a full caseload.
- Handle documentation, billing, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
- Communicate professionally, supervise support staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical and financial outcomes.
- Work closely with leadership and referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Adhere to organizational policies, ethical standards, and scope of practice.
- Flex to other departments based on patient needs; may serve as a clinical instructor and participate in committees.
Specialized Skills
- Fabrication of custom static and dynamic splints for outpatient hand therapy.
- Management of post-surgical and post-injury wounds.
- Certification as a Hand Therapist (preferred but not required).
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
