Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) — Skilled Nursing

About the role

Therapists at TheraDynamics deliver occupational therapy services in skilled nursing facilities, focusing on helping patients recover and return to daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in performing evaluations and treatments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

Requirements

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current or eligible for New York State OTA license
• NBCOT certification (or eligible)
• Passion for helping patients regain independence
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills
