About the role
Therapists at TheraDynamics work in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), supporting patients recovering from various health conditions such as strokes, hip fractures, cardiac events, and progressive neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on functional independence
- Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, and social work teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training
- Apply clinical reasoning and solve problems creatively
- Ensure patient progress towards safe discharge planning
Requirements
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current or eligible for New York State OTA license
- NBCOT certification (or eligible)
