About the role

Therapists at TheraDynamics work in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), supporting patients recovering from various health conditions such as strokes, hip fractures, cardiac events, and neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in performing procedures and treatments
• Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on functional independence
• Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, and social work teams for comprehensive patient care
• Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training
• Apply clinical reasoning and solve problems creatively
• Meet productivity expectations while maintaining a manageable caseload

Requirements

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current or eligible for New York State Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license
• NBCOT certification (or eligibility)

• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills

Skills
