About the role

The Department of Rehab Medicine seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist to assist patients—from pediatrics to geriatrics—in developing, improving, and recovering the skills needed for daily activities after surgery, illness, or injury. This position supports numerous service lines within a leading healthcare facility and offers opportunities to work alongside a robust rehab team.

Responsibilities

  • Examine, evaluate, determine prognosis, and provide intervention for patients.
  • Report findings to other healthcare team members.
  • Provide discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family teaching.
  • Participate in and support departmental programs, including in-service education, student programs, volunteer/observation programs, and the Professional Practice Committee.
  • Handle documentation, billing, and record-keeping.
  • Participate in compliance audits.
  • Coordinate scheduling of patients and meetings.
  • Delegate tasks to support personnel.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with NH eligibility.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR) required at hire (renewal optional).
  • Prior hospital experience preferred, but all candidates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

Full-time, benefitted position with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Rotating weekends and holidays with shift differentials available for weekends and certain holidays.
