Occupational Therapist - acute care

About the Role

This position is for a licensed Occupational Therapist providing skilled inpatient services in an acute care hospital setting. The therapist evaluates and treats a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Develops treatment plans considering discharge needs and functional status.
• Educates and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams; makes referrals as needed.
• Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students based on their skill levels.
• Completes documentation per departmental policies.
• Provides assessments, reassessments, and consultations for occupational therapy services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's preferred.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• No prior experience necessary; supervision experience is not required.
