About the role

Provides comprehensive occupational therapy services, including patient assessment, developing and implementing treatment plans to enhance independence across life skills. Supervises assistants and technicians, mentors students, and collaborates with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluations, interprets findings, and creates personalized care plans with measurable goals.
  • Implements basic occupational therapy treatments and monitors patient progress, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
  • Documents clinical activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Supervises and guides support staff, and may serve as a clinical instructor for interns.
  • Ensures safety and adherence to organizational policies, promoting compassionate, personalized patient care.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current or temporary license to practice occupational therapy and BLS certification.
  • Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and perform fine motor tasks.
  • Strong communication, observational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support professional development.
