Responsibilities

  • Assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans to improve independence across physical, cognitive, perceptual, and developmental areas
  • Provide direct patient care, document findings and progress, and instruct patients and caregivers
  • Supervise assistants and technicians, and support program development
  • May assist in training students and interns, and serve as a clinical instructor
  • Ensure safe, personalized, and efficient care while adhering to organizational policies
  • Effectively communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

Bachelor's or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Skills

  • Ability to perform lifting, prolonged standing, walking, stooping, squatting
  • Fine hand dexterity
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to monitor instruments and recognize visual cues

Licenses/Certifications

Current or temporary license to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas and Basic Life Support certification.
