About the role
Provides comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and direct care. Supervises assistants and technicians, mentors interns, and contributes to program development. Ensures safe, personalized, and effective patient care while documenting progress and maintaining compliance with policies.
Responsibilities
- Performs evaluations, develops and implements treatment plans, monitors patient progress, and adjusts interventions as needed.
- Communicates with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Educates and guides patients and staff, manages time efficiently, and supports department goals.
- Demonstrates competency in occupational therapy skills and adheres to safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Texas license in Occupational Therapy.
- BLS certification.
- Physical ability for lifting, standing, walking, and fine motor skills.
- Strong communication, observational, and documentation skills.
