Job Summary and Qualifications
The staff occupational therapist is responsible for evaluating, assessing, and treating patients with various conditions in different settings. They must also supervise occupational therapy assistants and rehab technicians, follow laws and regulations, and provide care according to patient needs.
What You Will Do in This Role
- Provide evaluations and treatment interventions
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status
- Participate in patient placement and plan development
- Provide purposeful and skilled interaction care
- Use procedures and techniques to produce change in condition/function
- Observe and report patient reactions and changes in condition
- Communicate pertinent payor needs/requirements to relevant parties
- Prioritize caseload, determine staffing needs, and coordinate assignments/handoffs
Qualifications You Will Need
- Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy
- One to two years of experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Entry-level graduates will be considered
- License from the State of Nevada
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
