Occupancy Specialist I

Harvard Allston Land Company seeks an experienced Senior Manager for Planning and Development to facilitate coordination of complex planning, design implementation, design review, and permitting processes across development projects within its portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning and development processes for complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate design implementation, design review, and permitting processes across multiple development projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and public agencies to advance project timelines and resolve issues.
• Oversee compliance with zoning, environmental, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Provide strategic guidance on project feasibility, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, real estate development, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in planning, development, or a related field, with a focus on complex, large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of zoning, permitting, and regulatory processes in the Greater Boston area or comparable urban environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and private sector partners.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
