Occupancy Specialist

About the role

The Housing Program Management Division of Imagineers LLC is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to interview clients, perform eligibility determinations, prep contracts and lease agreements, maintain an accurate record keeping system, and provide assistance between landlords and tenants.

Responsibilities

• Routine client interviews and eligibility determinations
• Prepares contracts and lease agreements
• Maintains an accurate record keeping system
• Provides assistance between landlords and tenants
• Maintains a caseload of ongoing eligibility certifications
• Performs day-to-day program functions

Requirements

• At least two years of undergraduate course work (a bachelor's degree is preferred)
• Two years' experience in public housing, Section 8, counseling, case management, apartment management, eligibility and/or social work, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills
• Quick learner who works well independently, takes initiative, is a self-starter, responsible, reliable, and mature
• Proper phone etiquette

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
