Occupancy Planner

About the role

We are looking for an Occupancy Planner to join our Occupancy Planning and Management team. The role involves providing occupancy planning expertise, fostering relationships with various stakeholders, and driving optimal occupancy planning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupancy planning expertise, leveraging a deep understanding of our client’s space supply and demand to develop scenario and occupancy plans for our client's portfolio in a designated region.
• Foster critical relationships with Corporate Real Estate, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, Project management, Move coordination and facility management teams, and other members of the occupancy planning team.
• Manage the development of occupancy plans, sequencing group-level and individual moves, and resolving planning issues identified during client planning sessions.
• Ensure the alignment of planning with corporate guidelines and maximize the use of space. Recommend, educate, and enforce space policies/standards, notify the client of customer-requested exceptions, and assist in developing site-specific Planning Strategies with Senior Leadership.
• Model superior client relationship management and strategic thinking within the Occupancy Planning and account team.
• Identify space requirements, prepare and update project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand at the building level, and work with the client to reconcile any discrepancies from top-down projections.

Requirements

• Proactive in asking the right questions to understand our clients' underlying needs.
• Work independently, multi-task, and manage time to meet deadlines, often needing to reorganize your daily schedule to deal with team's changing necessities and requests.
• Be tech-savvy, comfortable using software to support planning solutions, and proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlookup, cell calculations), Microsoft Office Suite, and CAFM/IWMS software.
• Communicate effectively, both written and spoken, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to understand complex ideas and communicate them to others.
• Have a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or a related field, and a working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles, and trends.
