OBGYN Sonographer - PRN (70606)
About the role
The Sonographer at Women's Care performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, specialized procedures as directed, and other tasks such as nuchal translucency scans, fetal surveys, hysterosonograms, and 3D-4D scans. Duties also involve documenting and updating information in the patient's electronic medical record, representing the clinic professionally, and attending required meetings.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and specialized ultrasound exams
- Completes nuchal translucency scans according to established standards and guidelines
- Performs hysterosonograms and 3D-4D scans
- Evaluates and interprets ultrasound images
- Documents and updates information in the patient's electronic medical record
- Treats customers in a courteous and cooperative manner
- Attends required meetings and participates in team activities
- Demonstrates and embodies Women's Care's mission and core values
- Complies with HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent OBGYN experience
- Experience with 3D-4D scans
- Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, providers, and patients
- Computer skills and proficiency in entering data into the electronic medical record system (eCW preferred)
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual
- Willing and able to travel to various clinics within the local region
- A minimum of 2 shifts per month required
Qualifications
