About the role

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related ultrasound procedures as necessary on a scheduled or emergent basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis.
• Maintains related records.
• Provides general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies.
• Provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff.

Requirements

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS).
• If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment).
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have completed an accredited sonography program.
• Must have passed the ARDMS certification exam.
