Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our well-established program at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado—just south of Denver. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a collaborative, high-quality hospitalist program committed to delivering exceptional care to mothers and babies in a dynamic, supportive environment.
About The Practice
Established OB/GYN hospitalist program within Sky Ridge Medical Center
24/7 in-house OB/GYN hospitalist coverage to support labor and delivery patients
Collaborative model with: Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists available onsite and via 24/7 consults
Perinatal nurse practitioners and experienced L&D nursing teams
Focus on enhancing patient safety, reducing delays in emergent care, and improving outcomes
Position Highlights
Full-time inpatient OB/GYN hospitalist role
Flexible scheduling (typically 12- and/or 24-hour shifts – based on program needs)
Opportunity to work in a high-quality, evidence-based care model
Strong multidisciplinary collaboration across obstetrics, neonatology, and nursing teams
Key Responsibilities Of OB/GYN Hospitalist
- Provide 24/7 in-house coverage for labor & delivery
- Evaluate and manage patients in: OB triage and admissions, labor management and fetal monitoring
- Respond to OB/GYN emergencies and urgent care needs
- Perform delivery attendance and surgical assists, including cesarean sections
- Provide care for unassigned and high-risk patients
- Conduct OB/GYN consults in the ED and inpatient units
- Collaborate closely with: Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, private OB/GYN physicians, advanced practice providers
- Participate in quality, safety, and patient care initiatives
