Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist (OBGYN Hospitalist) to join a high-acuity, high-autonomy practice in Spokane, WA. This is a dynamic environment ideal for physicians who thrive in independent decision-making roles and enjoy managing complex obstetric care.

Work within MultiCare Deaconess Hospital, which services 1800 deliveries annually, with a level III NICU for advanced care. Pediatrix OB Hospitalist team manages about 20% of total deliveries. Fully inpatient role, with consistent exposure to complex, high-risk obstetric cases. High-volume transport-in center serving Spokane and surrounding communities, with exposure to advanced pathology and antepartum admissions.

Function as an independent provider, with duties including OB ED management, labor management and emergencies in addition to assisting providers as needed. 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage. Management of unassigned and high-risk patients including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) patients. Ideal for experienced physicians, confident in independent clinical decision making.

Qualifications

Open to part-time or full-time seeking candidates. Must be comfortable practicing independently in a solo coverage model. Strong procedural skillset and confidence in acute care scenarios. Board eligible/certified in OB/GYN.

Benefits And Compensation

• Starting Pay Range (Base Pay): $160/hr

• Regular Full-time Is Classified As Team Members Who Are Consistently Scheduled And Work 30 Hours Or More On a Weekly Basis.

• Paid Sick Leave:

  • Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 70 hours or eight days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1.
  • A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days.
  • A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible.
  • Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.
  • The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
