About the Role
In a coordinated approach, the individual is responsible for assisting during and after surgery for cesarean sections, assisting patients with activities of daily living, using and caring for special equipment in Labor and Delivery, and assisting the RN/LPN in the care of antepartum, laboring, and delivered patients. The Obstetrical Tech is also responsible for certain clerical and reception duties. All duties are performed in a collaborative approach with unit personnel and under the direction and supervision of the RN.
Schedule
Day shift, 6:30 am – 7:00 pm.
This position is authorized for 72 hours bi-weekly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Or a graduate of Surgical Technology School.
