About the Role
The OB Market Scheduler PRN will coordinate and communicate with Perinatal Program Registrars to ensure efficient scheduling operations at Henrico Doctors' Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Process telephoned requests for scheduling promptly and accurately using knowledge of medical procedures.
- Manage day-to-day changes in schedules with medical office, OB, and perinatal staff.
- Maintain and update the Perinatal Scheduling Guide and Procedure Guide with current changes and additional procedures.
- Update the system with released block time by physicians and groups.
- Interact with OB and market staff/Clinical Coordinators regarding procedure codes, corrections, and physician duration changes.
- Review future schedules for changes and corrections to Perinatal procedures.
- Utilize Meditech system features to accurately enter scheduling information.
- Identify correct patient account numbers/medical record numbers for scheduling and notify medical records of merges needed.
- Track monthly scheduling department statistics and review phone calls for accuracy of posted procedures.
Requirements
- Data entry skills and healthcare experience required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred.
- Available to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Ability to work in multiple HCA office locations, including Henrico Doctor's - Forest, Chippenham/Johnson Willis, Meadowbridge, and Colonial Heights.
