OB Generalist - Kalamazoo, MI

About the role

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan is seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to join their well-established employed practice. The group consists of 11 physicians, 3 Nurse practitioners and 5 midwives. The candidate will collaborate with midwives, OB/GYN hospitalists, residents, medical students and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists.

Responsibilities

• Provides full scope of obstetric and gynecologic services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care, health maintenance, prenatal care, and minor office procedures to a complex population.
• Collaborates with midwives, OB/GYN hospitalists, residents, medical students and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists.

Requirements

• Medical degree and 2 years of direct or intern experience required
• Current Medical License in the state of Michigan
• Current DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration
• Maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges
• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
• Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette
• Works in a tactful and professional manner
