About the role

As Operations at Abaka AI, you will operate as a high-leverage execution partner across multiple functions, including Project Management, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal. This role sits at the center of the organization and is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in owning and completing work end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute operational workflows across multiple teams, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Support project managers with coordination, scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Assist business development efforts through CRM updates, pipeline tracking, and materials preparation
  • Cook up internal operations, including vendor management, office logistics, and cross-functional support
  • Support finance operations including invoice tracking, payment coordination, and expense management
  • Aid with legal and compliance workflows (e.g., document collection, tracking, coordination)
  • Execute ad hoc tasks across departments to unblock teams and maintain operational efficiency
  • Track and manage multiple concurrent workstreams with strong attention to detail and prioritization
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution
  • Identify gaps in processes and proactively improve operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in operations, coordination, administrative, or support roles
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrated reliability and responsiveness in previous roles or projects
  • Willingness to take on a wide range of tasks, including operational and repetitive work
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt across different functions and contexts
  • Proficiency with office workspace tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Excel)
  • Interest in startups, operations, and building foundational business skills
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 USD annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. This role includes a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO, flexible work schedule).
