Provides member service and supports retail operations in a Sam's Club facility.
Responsibilities
- Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, offering guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
- Assists management with supervising associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
- Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors, organizes and maintains the sales floor using equipment, and completes required documentation.
- Maintains facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following procedures for forklift spotting, handling hazardous materials, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensures sales floor and merchandise presentation by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, stocking and arranging merchandise, setting up and cleaning displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.
- Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards; merchandising area categories; and stocking, zoning, and cleaning all departments.
- Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and helping others adapt to change.
- Oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders according to company policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers; analyzing information; monitoring progress; and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates and promotes compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by guiding and modeling application, implementing action plans, and assisting with ethical and compliance issues.
Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience AND 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
