O/N Merchandising Lead
About the role
Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, offering guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
Assists management with supervising associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, guiding on member service approaches, ensuring compliance with company policies, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities
- Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organize and maintain the sales floor using equipment and completing required documentation.
- Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following procedures for forklift spotting, hazardous materials handling, steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensure maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging and organizing merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink, and securing fragile items.
- Monitor food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards; merchandising area categories; and stocking, zoning, and cleaning all departments.
- Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and modeling adaptability to change.
- Oversee the picking and staging of club pickup orders according to company policies and procedures.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers; analyzing information; monitoring progress; and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by guiding and modeling application in business processes and assisting with ethical and compliance issues.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
