O/N Merchandising Lead
About the Role
Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, offering guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
Assists management with supervising associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes, providing direction on member service techniques, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors, organizes and maintains the sales floor using equipment, and completes required documentation.
- Maintains facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous materials procedures, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensures sales floor and merchandise presentation by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking and arranging merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink, and securing fragile items.
- Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, handling recalls, and maintaining sanitation standards.
- Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, determining business priorities, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and adapting to change.
- Oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders according to company policies.
- Develops and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates and promotes compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and integrity by guiding others, using the Open Door Policy, and assisting with ethical issues.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a team, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.
