- Advancing business development strategies
- Developing and pursuing new clients and projects
- Client management
- Project management for key projects
- Technical input on projects
- Staff development
Business Development Responsibilities
- Assessing the Area’s marketplace
- Tailoring optimal technical business development tactics and strategies
- Implementing Market Sector strategies and tactics
- Collaborating with local Departments
- Serving as the Client Manager for selected key clients
- Participating in industry associations
- Supporting selected pursuits
- Actively participating in pursuit activities
Staff Development Responsibilities
- Enhancing practices to best perform within the marketplace
- Strategically assigning staff to develop and deepen skills
- Mentoring and growing Wastewater staff capabilities and talent
- Identifying and recruiting prospective future market sector employees
- Supporting talent management and recruiting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
- Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs
- Experience in development and management of a wide range of client relationships
- Experience in overall staff development
- Experience with industry associations
- Ability to work cooperatively with various stakeholders
