NY / Charlotte Real Estate Finance Associate (4th - 6th Year)

Paul Hastings’ Band 1 Real Estate Department is seeking a Mid-Level Associate with 4-6 years of relevant experience to join their Real Estate Finance team in New York or Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities

• Represent lenders on mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate loans, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
• Work on construction lending and repurchase facilities (a plus).
• Draft main transactional documents such as joint venture agreements and loan agreements.
• Assume early responsibility and client‑facing involvement on deal teams.

Requirements

• 4‑6 years of relevant experience in real estate finance.
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction where hired.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Prior law firm experience.

Skills

• Strong drafting skills for joint venture agreements, loan agreements, and other transactional documents.
• Ability to work client‑facing and take early responsibility on deals.
• Experience with mortgage/subordinate loans, mezzanine, preferred equity, construction lending, or repurchase facilities.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is a minimum of $310,000 and a maximum of $390,000 annually, with actual pay varying based on experience and other relevant factors.
