Nursing Services Director - Perioperative

Role Overview: The Director of Nursing Services leads the Main Operating Room and PreOp/PACU departments in a high-acuity pediatric surgical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and operational management, ensuring safe, family-centered care while driving growth and efficiency.Oversee financial aspects including budgets, operational plans, and contracting in collaboration with finance and legal teams.Manage human resources by developing staffing plans, recruiting, onboarding, evaluating staff, and fostering a Just Culture environment.Drive performance improvement by monitoring quality metrics, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Develop and implement strategic initiatives, participate in growth planning, and lead change management efforts.Provide leadership and training to managers and staff, promoting staff development and competency fulfillment.Build relationships across the organization, influence leadership, manage crises, and model professional communication.Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental goals. Qualifications & Skills: Proven success in perioperative leadership within pediatrics, strategic planning, financial acumen, strong interpersonal and crisis management skills, and ability to lead change and foster collaboration.
