Job Summary
As our Director Nursing Perioperative Services at St. Joseph's Medical Center, you will provide strategic leadership and comprehensive operational oversight for all aspects of our operating rooms, post-anesthesia care units (PACU), and related surgical areas, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and comprehensive operational oversight for all aspects of perioperative services.
- Optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall surgical experience.
- Work with senior leadership on strategy and key initiatives.
- Work with front-line leaders in Perioperative Services to maintain high standards of patient care in fast-paced environments.
- Advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators on patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies.
- Communicate the organization’s goals to the staff to continuously improve patient experience and care delivery.
- Lead with experience in overseeing surgical services for an acute-care hospital.
- Show commitment to social justice, health equity, and innovative care delivery methods.
Requirements
- Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (MSN/MBA/MHA) preferred, with minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and minimum two (2) years of leadership experience.
- Required Licensure: Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required, Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
