Director Nursing Perioperative Services

Job Summary

As our Director Nursing Perioperative Services at St. Joseph's Medical Center, you will provide strategic leadership and comprehensive operational oversight for all aspects of our operating rooms, post-anesthesia care units (PACU), and related surgical areas, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and comprehensive operational oversight for all aspects of perioperative services.
• Optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall surgical experience.
• Work with senior leadership on strategy and key initiatives.
• Work with front-line leaders in Perioperative Services to maintain high standards of patient care in fast-paced environments.
• Advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators on patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies.
• Communicate the organization’s goals to the staff to continuously improve patient experience and care delivery.
• Lead with experience in overseeing surgical services for an acute-care hospital.
• Show commitment to social justice, health equity, and innovative care delivery methods.

Requirements

• Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (MSN/MBA/MHA) preferred, with minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and minimum two (2) years of leadership experience.
• Required Licensure: Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required, Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
