About the Role

As the Director of Nursing Perioperative Services at Dominican Hospital, you will oversee Surgical Services including Main OR, Pre-Op, PACU, GI, and SPD. You will direct daily operations, collaborate with Senior Leadership and the Nurse Manager Periop on key initiatives, and work with front-line leaders to maintain high standards of patient care in fast-paced environments. This role involves advising medical staff, department heads, and administrators on patient care, clinical best practices, and strategic improvements. You will communicate organizational goals to staff while enhancing patient experience and delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Direct operations of Surgical Services (Main OR, Pre-Op, PACU, GI, SPD).
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and Nurse Manager Periop on key initiatives.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care in fast-paced environments.
  • Advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on patient care and clinical best practices.
  • Communicate organizational goals to staff to improve patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in California.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Pay

$87.46 - $130.10 per hour.
