Nursing RN LPN Opportunities

About the role

The Neville Center at Fresh Pond is a Joint Commission and American Healthcare Association Award-winning short-term rehab, long-term, and skilled nursing care community located on the Cambridge/Belmont line. We are seeking highly motivated and qualified Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Assess the healthcare needs of residents and make a nursing diagnosis, transitioning this into an interdisciplinary plan of care in collaboration with the nursing team.
• Communicate the plan to all care providers to ensure continuity of care for residents.
• Establish and maintain functional communications with staff, other disciplines, residents, families, medical staff, and the community.
• Assess the effects of medications and treatments, monitor these effects, and provide appropriate feedback to the interdisciplinary team and medical managers.
• Use the Electronic Health Record (PCC preferred) to document and coordinate care.
• Lead and direct nursing staff in the safe, effective delivery of care by providing structure.
• Provide education to residents regarding their healthcare issues and care plan strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to infection control, fire and disaster policies, and other facility, state, and federal policies to provide a safe environment for residents, community, and staff.
• Protect resident rights and treat residents, staff, and community with respect and dignity.
• Treat resident and facility property and information with honesty, confidentiality, and respect.

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
• Predictable schedule with weekend rotation required.

Pay

• RN Bonus: Full-time $6,000 (prorated for part-time).
• LPN Bonus: Full-time $2,500 (prorated for part-time).
