About the role

Azarian College of Nursing is seeking a full-time nursing instructor to join our team in Melbourne, FL. The position involves teaching various nursing subjects and contributing to the educational mission of the college.

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic and clinical classes, facilitating students' learning and development.
• Evaluate student learning through various assessment tools.
• Develop and revise the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with contemporary issues in nursing.
• Mentor students, advising them and addressing their academic and personal needs.
• Oversee clinical instructors, ensuring they adhere to program standards and provide high-quality clinical experiences.
• Communicate regularly with clinical agencies and maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the development of admission, progression, and completion policies.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a professional registered nurse.
• Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in a relevant nursing specialty.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a nursing program at a college or university.
• Ability to maintain professional competence through ongoing education and activities.
