About the role
Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurses who are passionate about teaching and dedicated to the success of their students. The position involves providing clinical instruction at various healthcare settings and evaluating student performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
- Create a supportive and academically enriching environment for students.
- Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
- Evaluate student competence based on the program's philosophy and objectives.
- Implement evaluation methods to assess student learning and clinical experience.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
- Supervise students in the clinical setting and deliver effective lessons.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
- Current active registered nurse license in good standing.
- At least 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Prior teaching experience in nursing education is preferred but not required.

- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in delivering clinical instruction to students at the level of an RN or PN.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the field of nursing specialization.
- Relevant nursing experience that contributes to student learning.
Skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Supervisory skills in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of nursing specialties relevant to the program.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
