Nursing Coordinator| Psych | Full-Time | Nights
About the Role
Provides clinical leadership, staff supervision, and direct patient care on a designated shift. Accountable for implementation of systems that support quality care, quality improvement, staff orientation, and development. Coordinates with the Intake Department and other facility departments to ensure timely and comprehensive patient assessment and care. Monitors and intervenes as needed to ensure safety in the environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Completes staff performance reviews as assigned. Collaborates with other members of the nursing leadership team and the interdisciplinary team to achieve department goals.
Requirements
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience.
- Professional nursing experience in an acute psychiatric setting with applicable patient populations preferred.
- Evidence of leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Obtains certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing within one year of eligibility.
- Licensed RN in the State of Florida required.
- Certification as a Peer Specialist (if applicable).
