Clinical Coordinator, RN - Skilled Nursing Facility - Full Time - Nights
About the role
The Clinical Coordinator, RN of the Skilled Nursing Unit fulfills the role of the Director of Nursing (DON) under the general supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Nursing. This position oversees clinical and non-clinical staff during the assigned shift to ensure the provision of excellent patient care and customer service. The Clinical Coordinator, RN also assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing orientation, teaching, clinical supervision, and evaluation of personnel assigned to the area.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical and non-clinical staff during assigned shift
- Administer excellent patient care and customer service
- Provide orientation, teaching, clinical supervision, and evaluation of personnel
- Support the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff
- Pursue the objectives of the hospital and comply with state guidelines
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- BSN preferred
- Two years clinical experience, preferably in long term acute or skilled nursing care
- One year experience as a Clinical Coordinator / Charge Nurse preferred
Qualifications
- Current licensure in Texas as a registered Nurse
- American Heart Association BLS required
