About the role
The RN Coordinator is a registered nurse responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager/Director and providing shift leadership in the Emergency Department, overseeing 24/7 operations including weekends and holidays. They ensure age-appropriate patient care, demonstrate critical thinking, and manage resources to achieve quality performance and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide shift leadership and oversight for 24/7 Emergency Department operations
- Coach, mentor, and lead clinical and technical staff
- Promote effective resource utilization and support change initiatives
- Participate in clinical coverage and serve as a clinical expert
- Assist with staff development and performance evaluations
- Ensure collaborative patient care and excellent team performance
Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Bachelor's degree (MSN preferred)
- National nursing certification
- At least 2 years of clinical specialty experience
