Nursing Assistant I

About the Role

Southcoast Health is searching for a talented Nursing Assistant I at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This role includes a $1,500 new hire sign-on bonus (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible).

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision of individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or designee, perform a variety of duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, and maintain patient environment
• Provide assistance to licensed staff in carrying out other related duties

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program is preferred
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the equivalent is required
• Current CPR Certification is required
• Three (3) months experience in an acute care or long term setting is preferred
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay

Pay range USD $19.37 - USD $26.80 /Hr. Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Schedule

• Hours: 36 flex 40hrs
• Shift: Day/Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am - 7:30pm
• Rotation Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday
