Job Summary
A Nursing Assistant - Care Partner at Wellstar serves as a support care provider under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary focus is to promote a positive patient experience by collaborating with the healthcare team, assisting with daily living activities, and providing comfort measures. This role also involves assisting other healthcare providers with various patient care functions, including but not limited to ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs monitoring.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Excellence in Patient Experience: Partner with the healthcare team, patient, and family to ensure a positive patient experience.
Patient-Centered Care: Provide patient care needs (hygiene, nutrition, elimination, physical comfort measures), and additional advanced skills based on unit-specific requirements.
Teamwork: Support unit performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared leadership, evidenced-based practice, and ethical accountability.
Communication: Use effective written and oral communication skills, including AIDET, safety communication techniques, and reporting patient care concerns.
Safety and Infection Control: Maintain a safe environment for patient care, adhere to infection control policies, and reinforce universal precautions.
Required Minimum Education
Rising senior in good standing or high school diploma, general preferred.
Required Minimum License(s) And Certification(s)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
