About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) Level 2 to lead a dedicated and compassionate nursing team within our mental health rehabilitation service. The service supports individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions and physical health needs, with a strong focus on rehabilitation and enhancing quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational direction to a committed nursing workforce, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
- Foster a positive team culture, promote evidence-based practice, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care that supports consumers to achieve their recovery goals.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and support a clinical team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
- Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance, and quality improvement.
