Nurse Manager - Mental Health Unit

About the Role

Managing a busy Geriatric Mental Health Unit as the nursing leader within a strong clinical team. You will support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of your team.

Requirements

• Experience working in the field of mental health
• Proven effective communication and leadership skills
• Proven record of maintaining calm in stressful and demanding situations
• Flexibility and excellent time management skills
• State of Maine Nursing license
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience sufficient to perform all duties with excellence
• Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective leadership skills or ability to grow this skill
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Qualifications

• Diploma, AS, or BS degree in nursing
• Currently registered/licensed in Maine
• CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation (must remain current during employment)
