Nurse Manager - Mental Health Unit

About the Role

Managing a busy Geriatric Mental Health Unit as the nursing leader within a strong clinical team. You will support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of your team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing team on a Geriatric Mental Health Unit.
• Support the Director of Nursing in clinical leadership and operational tasks.

Requirements

• Must possess a State of Maine Nursing license.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience sufficient to perform all duties with excellence.
• Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective leadership skills and/or ability to grow this skill.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Qualifications

• Diploma, AS, or BS degree in nursing.
• Currently registered/licensed in Maine.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation (must remain current during employment).
