About the role

Spring Meadows A Villa Center is seeking a Nurse Supervisor RN to join their team. The Nurse Supervisor RN provides leadership and oversight to nursing staff during non-business hours, ensuring appropriate staffing, workflow, and quality patient care. It involves acting as the highest on-site authority after-hours, making timely decisions, resolving clinical challenges, and maintaining care standards. Responsibilities include direct nursing care, administrative tasks, coordination with other departments, and support for staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to all on-duty nursing staff during non-business hours.
• Ensure proper staffing levels, monitor workflow, and assist with prioritizing patient care tasks.
• Address staff concerns and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Act as the highest-ranking on-site authority during after-hours and weekends.
• Make timely decisions related to patient care, staffing, safety, and operations.
• Collaborate with other departments when needed and escalate issues appropriately.
• Offer clinical expertise and support in resolving patient care challenges.
• Assist with complex cases or difficult family situations.
• Handle call-ins or last-minute staffing changes, ensuring coverage and continuity of care.
• Develop and maintain care standards.
• Make frequent rounds to note resident/patient conditions and to ensure nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Give and receive the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Ensure assigned work area (i.e. nurse station, med cart, medication room, etc.), resident/patient care rooms and treatment areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary and as department needs may dictate.
• Ensure that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident's response to the care.
• Inform nursing service personnel of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment etc.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
