Nurse Supervisor - PRN
Job Responsibilities
- Supports the organization’s mission, philosophy, operating principles, model of care, and strategic plans/goals by interpreting and implementing established policies and procedures for the safe delivery of patient care.
- Affirms and helps resolve administrative and clinical problems to assure quality patient care.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of nursing units and utilizes available resources to provide optimum patient care.
- Provides information to media and community agencies as needed to assist in the dissemination of public information and investigations.
- Advises and assists nursing staff in assessing patient's needs and developing a plan of care throughout the life span to assure optimum patient care.
- Affords assistance to staff in ensuring that service expectations of internal and external customers and colleagues are met or exceeded.
- Promotes established strategies to assess, improve, and monitor customer satisfaction of all customers including the healthcare team.
- Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team.
- Performs required documentation and communicates in a competent and effective manner to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patient, employee and information to ensure patient rights.
- Reviews and evaluates discharge plans with the multidisciplinary teams, the patient, and family to promote timely and appropriate.
- Utilizes time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of previous job-related experience; 6-10 years preferred.
- Current RN license in State of Illinois.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)
- Basic Life Support (CPR)
Shift
Day Shift. 4 shifts per 6 week schedule 1 weekend shift per 6 weeks, 1 winter/1 summer holiday commitment.
