Nurse Supervisor - PRN

Patient Care & Assessment

The Nurse Supervisor supports the organization’s mission, philosophy, operating principles, model of care, and strategic plans/goals by interpreting and implementing established policies and procedures for the safe delivery of patient care. They assess and help resolve administrative and clinical problems to assure quality patient care. They maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing units and utilize available resources to provide optimum patient care. They provide information to media and community agencies as needed to assist in the dissemination of public information and investigations.

Plan of Care

The supervisor advises and assists nursing staff in assessing patient's needs and developing a plan of care throughout the life span to assure optimum patient care. They assist staff in ensuring that service expectations of internal and external customers and colleagues are met or exceeded. They promote established strategies to assess, improve, and monitor customer satisfaction of all customers including the healthcare team. They collaborate with other members of the healthcare team.

Communication

The supervisor performs required documentation and communicates in a competent and effective manner to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements. They maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee and information to ensure patient rights.

Quality Improvement

The supervisor utilizes time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.

Professional Development

The supervisor demonstrates accountability for professional growth and job performance by seeking opportunities to enhance job skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of previous job-related experience; 6-10 years preferred.
• Current RN license in State of Illinois.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)
• Basic Life Support (CPR)

Shift

Day Shift. 4 shifts per 6 week schedule 1 weekend shift per 6 weeks, 1 winter/1 summer holiday commitment.

Pay

Pay Range: $35.89-$62.91
