Nurse Shift Manager Discharge Lounge
Job Summary
As our Discharge Lounge Nurse Shift Manager / Throughput Coordinator, you will lead and oversee critical areas like the Discharge Lounge to improve hospital and patient efficiency and flow.
Responsibilities
- Participate in bed management meetings and deliver essential education and training to nursing departments to decrease length of stay.
- Effectively liaise with staff to encourage timely discharges and facilitate seamless patient throughput.
- Supervise nursing staff assigned to a particular shift, assigning patients based on their condition and the employee's skill level.
- Assess, monitor, and educate the nursing staff on patient care.
- Institute emergency procedures as necessary.
- Anticipate staffing needs and respond proactively to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
- Oversee stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.
Required Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred completion of Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field.
- Completion of Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related field within three (3) years of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association.
- Strong computer knowledge, specifically Google Office Space.

Pay Range
$80.07 - $107.23 /hour
