Nurse Researcher

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years RN experience. The Cancer Outcomes Research and Education department is seeking a Registered Nurse Research Interventionist to facilitate the delivery of a Supportive Care research intervention.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing research projects from conceptualization to completion.
• Develop research protocols, design data collection methods, and create project timelines.
• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to inform research design and identify gaps in nursing knowledge.
• Implement data collection methods, including surveys, interviews, observations, or clinical data extraction.
• Analyze research data using statistical methods and software.
• Interpret results, draw conclusions, and make recommendations based on research findings.
• Prepare and submit research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Ensure research projects comply with ethical standards and institutional review board (IRB) requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
• Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required
• Experience in nursing research, including study design, data collection, and analysis 3-5 years required

• Strong knowledge of research methodologies and statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication and writing skills for publication and presentation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and IRB processes.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, critical decision-making, and professional judgment skills.
