Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develops short and long-term strategies and for marketing through effective advertising strategies in local, regional, and national media to include newspapers, trade journals, internet, social media, schools, and/or radio.
Designs and evaluates strategies on an ongoing basis for recruiting nursing positions.
Maintains records related to nursing recruitment activities, expenses, and progress toward goals/outcomes.
Networks with state, regional and national professional organizations and other healthcare organizations to identify potential candidates and promote nursing opportunities.
Captures and coordinates regular meetings with hiring manager, nursing administration and HR staff to ensure all parties are knowledgeable of current recruitment activities, status of searches, position status, and roles/responsibilities of each.
Collaborates with appropriate teams to ascertain recruitment needs and develop customized recruitment strategies to fill openings.
Establishes and enhances relationships with high schools, colleges, and vocational schools to recruit graduates; develop programs to promote nursing careers in secondary schools.
Partners with AHEC to welcome and recruit clinical education students to Phelps Health.
Performs initial screening interviews to determine candidate qualifications and presents sound recommendations to hiring managers based on findings from the pre-screening phase.
Coordinates new hire paperwork, processes, and onboarding with hiring managers.
Works with Human Resources Business Partner and CNO to confirm or determine appropriate compensation offers and adjustments.
Attends career and job fairs to present employment opportunities and solicit applications.
Participates in local/regional Pinning Ceremonies and presents clinical awards when invited.
Education & Experience
Associates degree in nursing or related field of study preferred.
A minimum of two years' experience in nursing, recruitment or human resources is required.
A working knowledge of computer applications including experience with Word and Excel is required.
Certification/License
Must possess a current Missouri Nursing License if a Registered Nurse.
Must possess a valid Missouri Driver's license.
