Nurse Practitioner-Women's Health

About the role

The Bulloch County Health Department is seeking a full-time, salaried Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health position based in Statesboro, GA. The Southeast Health District, a public health organization serving 16 counties in Georgia, seeks a dedicated professional to provide advanced practice nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Delivers comprehensive health department services including Women’s Health, Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) management, PrEP, immunizations, tuberculosis, and diabetes and hypertension management.
• Assesses clients, performs examinations, develops and implements plans of care, and orders, prescribes, and manages treatment within scope of licensure.
• Adheres to public health protocols for vaccine administration, specimen collection, documentation, and compliance with safety and HIPAA standards.
• Services are provided throughout the Southeast Health District and require travel to multiple clinic locations to support district-wide operations, outreach initiatives, and emergency response efforts.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an APRN.
• CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Public Health experience preferred.
• Women’s Health experience preferred.
