Nurse Practitioner-Women's Health
The Bulloch County Health Department is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the full-time, salaried position of Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health based in Statesboro, GA. The Southeast Health District's mission is to promote and protect the health of people in Southeast Georgia, uniting with individuals, families, and communities to improve and enhance their quality of life. Clinic locations span 16 counties: Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Bulloch, Candler, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Evans, Jeff Davis, Pierce, Tattnall, Toombs, Ware, and Wayne.

Responsibilities
- Provide advanced practice nursing services under limited supervision, requiring independent clinical judgment in a health department setting.
- Deliver comprehensive health department services including Women’s Health, Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) management, PrEP, immunizations, tuberculosis, diabetes, and hypertension management.
- Assess clients, perform examinations, develop and implement plans of care, and order, prescribe, and manage treatment within scope of licensure.
- Adhere to public health protocols for vaccine administration, specimen collection, documentation, and compliance with safety and HIPAA standards.
- Provide services throughout the Southeast Health District, including travel to multiple clinic locations for district-wide operations, outreach initiatives, and emergency response efforts.
- Support other public health services such as the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and child health.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- Certification in the specialty area(s) approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- CPR certification.

- Public Health experience.
- Women’s Health experience.
