Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedic Spine

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

About the role

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. You will be part of a busy orthopedic spine clinic, evaluate complex spine and extremity pathology, first and second assist in the OR, and collaborate with an Orthopedic Spine team, including Orthopedic Spine surgeons, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians, Chronic Pain Physicians, and Psychologists.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program (if Nurse Practitioner) or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program (if Physician Assistant).
• State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
• If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice and active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (e.g., Adult/Gero Primary Care, Adult/Gero Acute Care, Adult, or Family).
• If Physician Assistant: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice and active PA board certification.
• Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

• East Madison Hospital – UW Health’s newest hospital and one of the most advanced hospitals and wellness centers in the country, focusing on holistic health and wellness.
• UW Health Research Park Clinic – An 84,000-square foot facility on Madison’s west side, housing physician and rehabilitation professionals in Cardiology, Integrative Medicine, Orthopedics, Radiology, Spine, and Sports Medicine. Includes a Fitness Center for patient care and post-discharge education.
