About the role
The position requires direct clinical management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation. The APP will work closely with the physician team and other APPs to deliver excellence in quality care and patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Work primarily in the outpatient clinic setting
- Participate in inpatient rounding and support surgeons in the operating room, as needed
- Direct clinical management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation
- Work closely with the physician team and other APPs to deliver excellence in quality care and patient experience
- Show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities, and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care
- Hold a valid controlled substance registration with both the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA
- Have past surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting
Requirements
- Successful completion of a PA Graduate Program (Masters Level)
- NCCPA certified PA (PA-C); current DEA
- Preference given to those with current BCLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS
Call
- Rotation of group call responsibilities, which include nights and weekend shifts
- No ER call requirement
Schedule
A rotation of responsibilities include clinic, operating room, inpatient rounding, and call coverage.
